Tips & tricks
- Whisk the formula thoroughly before applying — the aloe vera base is thicker than other lines and needs to fully break down for even coverage.
- For 50–100% gray coverage on warm shades, mix 50/50 with the corresponding gold tone (e.g., 7.4C + 7.3G). For cool shades, mix with the natural shade at the same level.
- Use 20 vol for standard gray coverage, 30–40 vol for high-lift. Processing time is 35 min for gray, up to 45 min for high-lift.
- Tone intensifiers are powerful — use sparingly and avoid the darker ones (0.2V, 0.1B, 0.11BB, 0.7Gr) on level 7 or above.

- Full color in 10 minutes — mix 1:1 with Charged Activator (60ml + 60ml). Extend to 15 min only for levels 7–9 with 70–100% white hair.
- Apply Fix Prep Spray first, then TRACE at the hairline — speed doesn’t mean skipping prep.
- Apply to regrowth first; bring lengths in only during the last 3–4 minutes if they’re very faded.
- After processing: emulsify, rinse, shampoo, then apply Fix Leave-In to close out the service.

- One bottle, three results: GLAZE (1:1) runs darker, GLOSS (1:1.5) is the standard on-tone finish, GLASS (1:2) gives a lighter result. Use this to dial in depth without switching shades.
- It doesn’t fade brassy — great for extensions and clients who go a long time between appointments.
- As a toner, apply 1:1.5 at the root zone and 1:2 at the ends to keep ends fresh without overloading them.

Tips & tricks
- Best results on prelightened hair — the lighter the base, the more vibrant the result. Level 7+ for Violet/Red/Orange, level 9+ for Yellow/Green, level 10+ for Blue/Turquoise/Fuchsia/Smoke/Pink.
- Do NOT mix with developer — apply directly to dry or towel-dried prelightened hair, develop 15–30 minutes, rinse until water runs clear.
- Shades mix freely for custom vivid color.
- Mix 1:1 with any LumiGloss shade for a vivid effect with more graceful fading, or use LumiGloss’s 10:1 ratio to pastelize without stocking dozens of shades.

Tips & tricks — Brilliant
- Safe on scalp up to 30 vol. Mix 1:2 and whisk until completely smooth — no clumps.
- For fine hair, Brilliant works well even on darker starting levels. For thick, coarse hair at level 5 or below, consider Diamond instead.
- Diamond dusting tip: if a client is stuck at level 9 with too much yellow on the last section, sprinkle a small amount of Diamond on top of the Brilliant you just applied for extra kick.
Tips & tricks — Paint
- Mix to a cream cheese frosting consistency — very smooth. Faster painters can go smoother; if you paint slowly, go slightly chunkier so the product stays fresh longer.
- Adjust your ratio by hair type: 1:1.5 for fine/thin hair, 1:2 standard, over 1:2 for very thick or dense hair.
- Don’t think of it as a balayage-only product. Use it in foils on compromised hair (levels 6+) with 10–20 vol for incredible lift with less damage.
- Work in small batches and keep your brush clean — those two habits make all the difference with Paint.
Tips & tricks — Diamond
- Off-scalp only. For level 5 or darker hair, or thick/coarse clients who are hard to lift. This is not an everyday lightener — pull it out when Brilliant or Paint won’t get the client where they need to go in one session.
- Use 10 vol most of the time — rarely need more. Mix 1:2 and fold gently (don’t whisk aggressively) to preserve the time-release toner capsules.
- Do not use on hair that is already level 8 or lighter — the capsules can deposit premature tone on hair that hasn’t lifted enough yet.

Tips & tricks
- This system repairs disulfide bonds (vs. Fix which works on polypeptide chains). If one system doesn’t deliver results after a full completion, switch to the other.
- Less slip than Quench — prep clients for that so they’re not surprised in the shower. The hair feels amazing once it’s blown dry.
- Add a pump of PrimeShine into the conditioner to increase slip and give it a more treatment-like feel.
